X52 Pro not working in Win11 & MSFS

Hi, I used to be able to use my X52 Pro HOTAS joystick under Windows 11, using old drivers (7_0_47_1_x64) and software (7_0_56_6_x64). However a Windows update last year (2022) seems to have rendered them unusable. I've tried to install the newest Windows 10 driver (8_0_213_0) using compatibility mode, but it won't work; I can't get past the greyed-out "next" button during the install.

There are no Windows 11 drivers as yet, and without drivers Windows 11 won't recognise the joystick as it used to. It appears in the "old" Control Panel but none of the properties are reachable, e.g. buttons and axis settings. MSFS no longer sees the device at all.

The X52 Pro is a Saitek model, in case Logitech has made any hardware changes since then.

Any ideas?

I've got a solution, provided by Logitech support:

Treat the executable as an archive and unzip it (e.g. via 7-zip), resulting in a driver directory and a software one.

Use Device Manager to update the driver from those files, and afterwards install the software.

    I now have a working X52 Pro.

Hi, thanks for the reply, alas x360ce doesn't solve it. When I try to add a device as Controller1, the X52 Pro just isn't in the Direct Input Devices list.

You're right that it'll work with the right software - I've tested it on a Windows 10 machine and it works fine (with latest driver), and as mentioned it used to work under Windows 11 with old drivers. However, no longer.

I just bought myself the rebranded Logitech (formerly Saitek) x52pro to find out it is not functional with Windows 11. I am going to contact Logitech and see what is going to be done to fix this problem. Very disappointed they sell a product for retail price that doesn't function with the current OS.

I found my solution and it worked.  I used my win 7 laptop to download the appropriate 64 bit exe from Logitech website, run as administrator, and it worked on win 7, the next button was highlighted when I plugged in the usb from throttle. I used win 10,8 and 7 ( not win 11) for download from Logitech website.

Tried with win 11 download and didn’t work. I copied the downloaded exe file from my win 7 laptop to the my win 11 laptop, installed it and all the drivers installed on win 11 and it worked. The next button was highlighted when usb plugged in from throttle.

There might be something  wrong with the win 11 download installer that prevents proper installation on win 11.  Now I see my MFD background light and all the throttle lights, where before no lights. Both laptop are HP. Hope this help. Reply back if this work for you.

Seems like I've got the exact same issue after I upgraded to Windows 11.. My X52 Pro HOTAS used to work fine on Windows 10.

Now, I cannot get past the 'Next' button during driver installation and DCS doesn't recognize it in game. I unzipped the latest driver installer executable and got the driver directories. How did you update the drivers after that? The Device Manager doesn't show anything to indicate the X-52 Pro.
