Similar problem here with Windows 11 install with Intel AC 9650. Figured out it was Windows that wasn't connecting/stably connecting to my WPA3-enabled router. Set router to use WPA2 and all was fine. So make sure, at least in my case, that both Windows wireless driver and router are on the same security mode, other than WPA3. Seems like this has been a problem since Windows 10 and has not been addressed by MS.
Can someone please help me with WiFi connection on Windows 11, I've tried everything and still have problems?!!!
Hi,
So heres my problem, when I download something in the background, like a game on steam for example, and surf the web I get disconnected from the Wi-Fi. When I click on the network icon i get "Disconnected, Secured". I've tried everything, I reverted windows update for network card, used "ipconfig /release" method, changed power plan to "best performance", everything. Now, here is something that I've noticed. When I'm connected to a 5G network, and download something off the internet full speed while browsing web pages, i get completely disconnected from the internet, when i try and switch to older "pre 5G" network connection I never get that "Disconnected, secured" message. But still lose the connection. It's not like you get slowed down internet, I'm talking really disconnected from the internet. I also own a 13 year old laptop with Windows 10 on it, and I have never, ever experienced anything like this before. It really bothers when you read something and then suddenly get a message that you are not connected to the internet, you cant load a page.
The current laptop i own is a new one, I bought it couple of days ago and have windows 11 installed on it (does not support drivers for W10). I really don't know what else I can do, the immediate solution is to reconnect to the internet, but you can't keep doing that after every 5 minutes.
update:
Now I've tried only downloading something off the internet without surfing the web and get the same problem too. My download speed drops to 0 for a minute two and then when i reconnect manually i start downloading all over again. I've also checked my Device Manager, I have all drivers installed and updated. The only thing i've noticed is that on Windows Update I have a message "Install error - 0x80070103"
