Audio output

I'm on Windows 10 Pro and I was wondering if there was a way have both the monitor audio and speaker system audio playing at the same time. What I want to do is have them both connected so that I can just mute the monitor and turn on the speaker system (and vis versa) instead of having to go into Audio Settings and switching them back and forth. It got annoying really quick to do that.

I have a DisplayPort to HDMI cable for my monitor (actually my TV) and my speaker system is plugged into the green 1/8" Audio Out behind the computer (I'm assuming directly into the sound card).

I have searched online and some links have said that I need to go into the sound manager settings, select "Show disabled devices" and enable "Stereo Mix." Some computers may say "Mono Mix" or something similar, but mine does not have anything like that. I have tried going into Device Manager to see what sound driver I have, but it doesn't give me any information. I don't think it's Realtek, but I'm not sure.

    Hi,

I'm Rodrigo and I'll help you.

If your system does not have the stereo mix option, you will need to use third-party software to use this setup.

The best option is to use Voicemeeter, which will give independent controls for both audio outputs, with independent volumes. It is free.

    Download it here:

After downloading and installing it, you must restart your computer. After restarting the computer, open the Voicemeeter application, select A1 and select the one output device, and A2 and select the other output device.

On the taskbar, select the volume icon > Up arrow > Select Voicemeeter input. This will allow Voicemeeter to control your audio outputs.
