administrator permission to delete files/folders

I have an Acer Predator laptop running Win 10. TI've had it for several years, and have manipulated files all over this machine with no issues. There is a folder on my desktop that I want to delete and suddenly I am apparently not allowed to do so. Windows is telling me that I need administrator approval. I am the administrator. I own the laptop and all content in this folder. How does this happen?

Hi J, let me try to assist you.

Try deleting this folder in safe mode. Restart your computer and before the logo, constantly press F5 and select safe mode. Once logged in, try to remove the folder you are trying to delete.

You may also try to run command prompt with administrator rights

Type CMD, instead of pressing Enter key, right click and select run as administrator

From the command prompt, type the command below. Replace the <folder path> the the specific folder you are trying to delete.

    rmdir /s /q <folder_path>

I hope this helps. Let me know if the problem still persist, don't hesitate to ask for further assistance.

    Regards,

    Arnel

Prob Onedrive or the way the folder was made by a program I would assume.

    cmd.exe

    TAKEOWN /F directory /R /D

    "Y" for yes "N" for skip/No
