well i have a HP laptop which while charging almost always shows white light at the charging spot

whenever the laptop is turned off and charged it shows orange light which is perfectly fine and when i start my laptop for a couple of minutes also laptop shows orange light in charging but after those minutes the light changes to white and laptop stops charging which and the battery stays as it is until i turn my laptop off

i have checked running component test which shows the battery and adapter is perfectly fine and my processor is always cool so it cant be overheating

today i even tried checking by open the laptop then plugging in charge . for half and hour i opened no aplication but still the cahrge light turned white and its been about 4 hours but my laptop's light is still white and charge is stuck on 15%

i cant possibly always turn my laptop off for charging then open it again after it charges well so pls give some solution

it cant be a hardware issue i have checked it

Hi cyclopes_op, my name is John D. an independent advisor happy to help you with this.

Based on the details you've provided, it seems like the issue might be related to the charging circuit or software on your HP laptop. As a first step, I recommend checking your laptop's power settings and ensuring that it's set to the appropriate power plan. Also, try updating your laptop's BIOS by visiting the HP support website and checking for any available updates.

If the issue persists, I suggest calibrating your laptop's battery using the HP Battery Check tool or resetting your laptop by disconnecting the power cord, holding down the power button, and then reconnecting the cord and turning on your laptop.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

    Best regards,

    John D.

    Hi cyclopes_op,

Thank you for letting me know that you've checked your BIOS and power plan. Since updating the BIOS and checking the power plan didn't help, I would recommend trying to calibrate your laptop's battery using the HP Battery Check tool. This tool will help reset the charging circuit and ensure that the battery is charging properly.

Once the battery calibration is complete, restart your laptop and see if the charging issue persists. If it does, please let me know, and we can explore other troubleshooting options or contact HP support for further assistance.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to me if you need any further assistance or have any other concerns.

    Best regards,

    John D.
