Microsoft Phone Link App - no sound in phone calls

Hi there,

I have a problem with Microsoft Phone Link App - everything is well connected via both bluetooth and wifi, and I can initiate phone calls.

However, the other side cannot here me and I cannot hear them.

I'm trying to use my pc's headphones with microphone for the call.

I don't know how to solve this - it's obviously a settings thing, not a connectivity (as said, everything is connected and I could initiate the call)

Please help!
Thank you

    Hi there,

I am on Windows 11 and a Samsung device. Reconnecting the device did the trick for me, and I am able to hear the voice and others can hear mine as well.

If you are still dealing with this, you may try deleting the device and adding it back in Windows. Also delete your device from "Bluetooth and Devices " settings. If that doesn't work, I suggest you to try clearing the data from Android App as well before reconnecting. Hope that helps.

    Thank you.

    Hi Yanko,

    I'm Amr, an independent advisor.

Check if you have enabled the settings to allow apps to access your Microphone

Click on the Windows icon and go to Settings > Privacy > Microphone

Under "Allow access to the microphone on this device", select Change, then turn on Allow apps to access your microphone.

I hope this is helpful. If you require any additional assistance, don't hesitate to respond to this.

    • my windows is up to date
    • microsoft store apps are updated automatically

don't really know what else do to.. all the restart / disconnect-connect etc. don't have any effect whatsoever.

Thank you for your response, Amr.
I appreciate your suggestion, but the setting to allow apps to access my microphone was already on. So looks like this is not the case here...
If you have any other suggestions please let me know.
