    Dear Elizabeth Arnum-Davis

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

it's generally possible to upload music from an MP3 player to your desktop computer.

Here are the general steps you can follow:

    1. Connect your MP3 player to your computer using a USB cable. Make sure your MP3 player is turned on and in "data transfer" or "USB mode" if prompted.
    2. Your computer should recognize the MP3 player as a removable storage device (similar to a USB flash drive). It may automatically open a file explorer window displaying the contents of the MP3 player.
    3. Open the folder that contains your music files on the MP3 player. These files are typically stored in a folder called "Music."
    4. On your desktop computer, create a new folder or navigate to the location where you want to transfer the music files.
    5. Select the music files you want to transfer from the MP3 player to your desktop. You can usually do this by clicking and dragging to select multiple files or by using Ctrl (or Cmd on Mac) + Click to select individual files.
    6. Copy the selected music files by right-clicking and choosing "Copy," or by pressing Ctrl+C (Cmd+C on Mac).
    7. Go to the destination folder on your desktop, right-click, and choose "Paste," or press Ctrl+V (Cmd+V on Mac) to paste the copied music files into the folder.
    8. Wait for the copying process to complete. Once it's done, you should have your music files on your desktop computer.
    9. Safely eject or disconnect your MP3 player from your computer.

Please note that the exact steps may vary slightly depending on your MP3 player's make and model, as well as your computer's operating system. If you have problems with that process, please share with me the exact brand and model of your MP3 and the brand and model of your computer.

Hope it helps! If any update, welcome to share with us.

Thanks for your patience and understanding!

    Best Regards,
