So I was having issues connecting my computer to my home wifi I was having issues with DNS and getaway, I was told I can uninstall the network adapter and reinstall it, but it wasn’t appearing anywhere. I’ve tried resetting the pc, doing network reset, doing the trouble shoot tool nothing has gotten the network adapter back. Now I’m stuck on this page because I can no longer connected to any wifi. I’m not sure what to do, I don’t want to trash this laptop, but I can’t figure out how to fix it now. It’s a Lenovo idea pad 1i, everything was up to date. Any ideas on how to bipass this screen and to get my network adapter back??

Hello! My name is Mostafa, and I’m an independent advisor and a long-time Microsoft user.

I’m sorry that you are experiencing this issue, and I will try my best to assist you with this so that you find a satisfactory solution.

    1. Press Windows Key + X on your keyboard and select "Device Manager" from the menu.
    2. In Device Manager, expand the "Network adapters" category.
    3. Find the network adapter that you want to reinstall and right-click on it. Select "Uninstall device" from the context menu.
    4. Once the device is uninstalled, click on the "Action" menu in Device Manager and select "Scan for hardware changes."
    5. The network adapter will be detected and installed automatically.

If you are currently on an installation page and unable to proceed without an internet connection, Try to connect your computer to your router or modem using an Ethernet cable. And do the above steps. If the network adapter is still not appearing in Device Manager, it's possible that there is a hardware issue with the adapter or the computer's motherboard.
