how to get rid of the crosshair stuck on my screen

their is a red circle crosshair stuck on my screen, it won't show on screenshots, but the circle will not go away. how do it get rid of it before i factory reset my PC

    It sounds like you may be using a 'gaming' monitor ? Many gaming monitors have an option in their OSD setup to enable a crosshair.

    I've had BenQ and ASUS monitors with this option.

    Never used it myself, but believe it may not show in a screen shot because it is not generated by Windows or your graphics processor.

    [EDIT: Just verified the monitor crosshair does not show on screen shot.]

    Please Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open the Task Manager.

    On the Processes Tab, do you see any program which might be showing the crosshair? If so, right-click it and select End Task.
