how to hide folders in this pc for Win 11 23H2

Just updated to Win 11 23H2 and regretting it....

Many Microsoft and 3rd party support sites state NameSpace registry key edits using HideIfEnabled DWords but this method does not work me under 23H2.

Before 23H2 regedit edits of FolderDescriptions keys between Show & Hide used to work for me but again those are not working under 23H2. All are set to Hide but they are still there.

I am talking about all of the folders between Desktop & This PC in the screen shot:

    Hello Tim Ken.

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Regarding to your information I assume that you have some issues when you using Windows 11 23h2.

Please click on the Desktop icon, collapse this folder, and then right-click in an empty space to deselect "Show all folders" and see if those folders

    are still below.

Based on our testing, the main folder and the gallery can be deleted using the following steps:

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer]

    "HubMode"=dword:00000001

    [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace_36354489\{f874310e-b6b7-47dc-bc84-b9e6b38f5903}]

    Hello Tim Ken.

    Thanks for your reply.

What happens when you right-click the empty space and unselect the show-all folders?

According to our test, it will hide other folders except the Home(OneDrive).

If the registry can't delete the Home folder it seems that the Developer change something caused it. It seems that the only way we can do is submit

your idea of this by pressing Win+F and the development team will regularly review submissions for ideas or fixes.

Please share the feedback link here after submitting as it will allow others on the forum to vote for your submission, including me.

More votes will lead to more visibility and higher priority to the development team.

If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Best Regards,

    Thanks Tommy

Here is a fresh screen shot:

As you can see Gallery has disappeared. Great.

    Any ideas now about:

    Home?

    Desktop?

    Documents?

    Edge Downloads / Downloads?

    Music?

    Pictures?

    Videos?

    My Email?

    Tim
