I completed all of the options to uninstall and re-install WMP. On all tries WMP still autoplays. I have given up on WMP and uninstalled it entirely. I have downloaded an outside market player that is working well. The WMP stopping autoplay issue was not resolved.
Disable Autoplay on Windows Media Player on Windows 10
I have gone to Setting and turned off AutoPlay for Windows 10. I have looked through the settings on Windows Media Player and have been unable to find a setting to turn off autoplay. When I insert a disk, it plays automatically. How do I Disable Autoplay on Windows Media Player on Windows 10?

2023-11-30T02:07:56+00:00 Hello! I'm Jen, and I'd be happy to help you out with this issue.
I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. To disable autoplay on Windows Media Player, please try these steps: Click the Start Button > go to Settings > Devices > AutoPlay. Click the dropdown next to Removable drive and select "Take no action". You can also toggle off "Use AutoPlay for all media devices" to completely disable autoplay. Let me know how it goes. Thank you.
I hope this information helps. If you have any questions, please let me know and I'll be glad to assist you further.
Best Regards!
Jen :)

2023-12-01T18:19:25+00:00 I went to Auto-Ply on the Control Panel. All were set to "Choose a default". I changed all to "Take No Action". The "Use Autoplay for all media and devices was not checked. I inserted a music CD and it immediately started playing. Still no stopping autoplay.

2023-12-01T06:18:19+00:00 Hi,
Have you tried disabling autoplay from the Control Panel settings? In the search bar, type Control Panel and select it from the results. View by "Large icons" and click Autoplay. Uncheck the option "Use AutoPlay for all media and devices" and click Save.
