I can remove any file from recent files showing in File Explorer except for any onedrive files. If I right click on the file and select remove from recent, nothing happens. How do I remove all onedrive files from recent files showing in File Explorer?

See the image I attached. This is the window that should open after step 2. The bottom section on the General tab is Privacy. If you uncheck the "Include account-based insights..." box, the OneDrive recents will go away and you will just have your normal recents.

    Yes, same thing still.

The following clears everything but the onedrive recent files.

    1. Press Windows + R
    2. Type: control.exe folders (Enter)
    3. Under General tab > Privacy > Click clear
    4. Click OK
    5. Reopen file explorer and see if the the files are removed

Hi there! I hope you are well. My name is, Zadee. I'll try my best to help you today.

Does it help if you clear your file explorer history? You should be able to locate this button by following the steps below.

    1. Press Windows + R
    2. Type: control.exe folders (Enter)
    3. Under General tab > Privacy > Click clear
    4. Click OK
    5. Reopen file explorer and see if the the files are removed

Let me know how that went. Thank you.

Im also experiencing the same issue, managed to make some headway, however upon reboot they come back!!!

    goto: %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations

Delete all files in that folder, close explorer, re open and they are gone, however when you reboot, they come back!!!! so annoying..

It should look like this when putting the command in the run box. Then hit enter. Also, please note that there's <Space> between "control.exe" and "folders".

Unfortunately, after step 2, I see no General tab to select. I see the Control Panel after step 2.
