Hello,

I am French and live in China so I need to switch languages between the different languages: French, English and Chinese.
Since I use a qwerty keyboard, I have set a keyboard to English international so I am able to type the specific characters of the French language.
For the Chinese, I use the default pinyin IMEI.

I have only set 2 keyboards (English International and Chinese).

Why windows add himself new keyboard in the language toolbox of the taskbar and how to remove them and block this behavior ?

Right now, I have 4 keyboard instead of 2. I have tried to remove them but they are not visible in the settings>Time & language.

Thank you for your help.

I am sorry it didn't work.

Could you please type "English" and check if the related keyboard option shows up in the list?

I am glad it worked for one keyboard.

When you go to "Language & region", please check if English (Canada) is there.

Then select More > Language options > Remove.

If it doesn't work, add "English (Canada) US Keyboard" and then you can remove it like before.

So in order to delete a keyboard, I have to add it first.... Ok no problem.

I have succeeded to delete one of the keyboard but I can't find one in the list:
    English (Canada) US International

I have installed the Canadia language pack but I still don't see this specific keyboard.

How can I add it in order to delete.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hey there!

My name is Ravi, an independent advisor and expert user. I am happy to help you. :)

I understand how annoying it can be to see unwanted keyboards. Let's delete them.

    1). Select Start > Settings > Time & language > Language & region.

2). Select Add a language, add the unwanted language or keyboard, then select Next > Install.

3). After the language or keyboard is installed, select More > Language options > Remove.

Feel free to get in touch again if you have any additional questions.

    Cheers,

    Ravi
