For some unknown reason, very recently, the default size of my Windows File Explorer has shrunk to comical level whenever I first open it, so I have to resize it manually every time I use it now, how do I edit its default size when it is not Maximized to full screen?

Here is a screenshot of how small it is:

Hi Spencer, my name is John D. an independent advisor happy to help you with this.

I understand how frustrating it can be when your system does not behave as expected, especially when it affects your productivity.

To change the default size of the Restore Down option in Windows File Explorer, please follow the steps below:

    > Open Windows File Explorer.

    > Resize the window to the desired size using the mouse.

    > Hold down the Shift key while clicking the Close button in the top-right corner of the window. This will close the window and save the current size as the default.

    > Open Windows File Explorer again and check if the size has been updated.

Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

    Best regards,

    John D.
