Folders/Files on the desktop won't open when clicking the mouse scroll button. They open when left clicking the left mouse button. Folders NOT on the desktop do open when using the mouse scroll button. I have windows 11 pro 22H2 installed on my machine.
I have checked the folder propertied to check that double clicking folders to open is checked.

2023-11-17T16:04:20+00:00 Hi Dave
Thanks for your reply. My machine is brand new and I haven't set windows to open files with the middle click button it just does although not on the desktop or in certain programmes. The strange thing is although I haven't set anything it odes open folders not on the desktop? How can that be? Prior to windows 11 I was using windows 10 and that opens anything by clicking on the middle button! I am trying to figure out a way to achieve this in windows 11 as it is a big time saver. I have a new wireless keyboard and mouse (Logitech MK270), so not the same that i was using on windows 10 machine, that one was wired. Any ideas?
Cheers Martin

Windows does not have a default setting for the middle click (Scroll wheel click) action, where have you set Windows to open files with the middle click button, is that in some utility installed for your mouse?
