if any body has this problem on a lenovo laptop this is what worked for me "Turn off your laptop and remove any cables/devices connected. Hold and press the power button to perform a power cycle for 20 seconds. Wait 5 seconds. Start computer and check if it fix the issue.

You can also go to Device Manager, under USB Serial Bus controller, unchecked "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" and disabled fast startup."

just tried it and unfortunately it didn't work. the laptop charges other items but just doesn't take any power in from the usb c pd port. and the laptop usb-c pd port is rated for 100 watts it says it on lenovos website. I have tried the power bank with my mac book and it works perfectly fine. Any other suggestion?

I would try the battery pin hole reset. On the device there should be a sticker on it showing power input/output. I think a 100W is to low check the sticker. Check the usb charging with a usb c phone to see if any power comes through.
