Hello,

I'm experiencing an issue with Alt+Tab behavior on Microsoft Edge tabs after changing the settings in Alt+Tab Window under Settings > System > Multitasking > All Tabs in Windows 11. Specifically, the tabs aren't switching when I press Alt+Tab. Has anyone else encountered this problem, and if so, how did you resolve it? I'd greatly appreciate any help or suggestions!"

I think I found the solution. When I went to windows updates, there was a cumulative one that I could download. I did and it fixed the alt tab issue.

It was this update that fixed it:

2023-10 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5031455)

Try commands to reinstall built-in apps in Windows OS, maybe that will solve the problem.

Open Windows start menu and type: powershell

Right-click on Windows powershell and run as admin.

    Now type this following command:

    Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

    • Press Enter and let the process take place.

Reboot pc and check if it fixed

    Thank you for your response.

See the below screenshot for reference after setting all tabs in multi-tasking it only shows one edge tab when I press and hold Alt+Tab.

Could you help on this scenario.

Hello Nik, sorry about your problems. My name is Marco and I will do my best to help you.

You need to hold the ALT button, then by pressing TAB you can select the windows. What's new with Edge is that Edge's tabs are "included" in the ALT-TAB, so you have to press TAB several times to change windows.

To turn it off, it's where you said. You must select "No tabs".

If you mean these are the tabs in Edge directly, you can do an Edge repair as follows:

Make sure that your browser is closed and that you have administrative rights to your device. If multiple users are logged in your device, make sure Microsoft Edge is closed for all users.

Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features.

In the apps list, select Microsoft Edge and then select Modify. If the Modify command isn't available, it's likely that your organization installed Microsoft Edge and is managing it for you. For help, contact your system administrator.

When prompted Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?, select Yes.

Make sure you're connected to internet and select Repair. Your browser data and settings shouldn't be affected by repair.
