Hi,
I'm Rodrigo and I'll help you.
Unfortunately, this will not work, the HDMI port on the Macbook is video output only . You will not be able to use the Macbook as a second screen this way.

Hello
Pollyanna Diaz Thomson
I'm in trouble with Schan
Extending screen to macbook.
Maybe this information will help me when I can't test the hope myself.
On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Displays in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.) Click the name of your display on the right, click the “Use as” pop-up menu, then choose an option.
I think the HDMI is working because my Macbook knows that the pc is plugged into it. I think the pc is the problem
I have done that, and I selected - use as - extended display. However it doesnt actually let me udo anything from the hp itself
