Following a Windows 11 update I am experiencing GPU compatibility issues in Photoshop 2024. The errors are "Driver needs update" (up to date) and "OpenCL not accessible" GPU is NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050. I don't appear to have the Open CL Compatibility Pack installed.

    Hello Bob Daglish,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community!

I understand that you have encountered compatibility problems after updating the system, and I understand your confusion.

This problem indicates that your current version of Windows is not compatible with Photoshop 2024. To solve this problem, you can try the following solutions:

First, based on the error message "Driver needs updating" you provided, you can try updating your NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card driver to make sure it is up to date. You can go to the official NVIDIA website to download the latest driver and install it.

If the problem persists after updating the driver, you can try installing the OpenCL compatibility pack. You can find and download the OpenCL compatibility pack for your graphics card on the official websites of AMD or NVIDIA and follow the installation instructions to install it.

Also, there may be some tweaking of GPU configuration options Settings in Photoshop 2024 that can help with compatibility issues. You can find the GPU-related options in Photoshop's Settings and try to adjust them. However, this is a third party app, so I can't give you any more help with the setup of this app.

If the above method still does not solve the problem, you can consider uninstalling the Windows update first to solve the problem, the specific steps are as follows:

    • Windows Search box search for "Settings" -- Open Settings --Windows Update-- Uninstall upadtes-- then double-click your last Windows update -- confirm to delete it

Or you can consider contacting Adobe Customer Support for help, who may be able to provide a more professional solution.
