I have lost the audio on my laptop, Windows 11. It says no sound devise is installed, and I cannot unmute. What do I do to fix this issue? I am in conversations with clients and need help.

    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

The details you provide may not accurately judge your problem.

To avoid misinterpreting your question, is there a glitch on your current computer that prevents you from playing sound or is it accidentally silent and you don't know how to restore it?

What is your current version of Windows? You can also provide screenshots of the problem you're describing.

Which version of Windows operating system am I running? - Microsoft Support

You can first try these steps to troubleshoot the problem.

    1. Press the Mute key on the keyboard to toggle mute volume on and off. This key is usually in the top row of your laptop keyboard.
    2. Click/tap on the Volume icon on the taskbar notification area, and select the playback device (if you have more than one) you want to mute or unmute.

Click/tap on the volume icon to toggle mute or unmute.
