I need immediate assistance.

My built-in webcam suddenly is not being detected by my laptop. I'm using MSI Modern 14 C11M.

I have tried all troubleshooting options I could find but NOTHING worked.

The error messages are:

Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)

To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer.

    Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

    I understand your laptop's built-in camera is not working and is showing code 45 in the "Device status".

    Press "Fn + F6", and see if the camera will be activated.

    If it doesn't work, try reinstalling the camera as instructed below.

    1. Open "Device Manager" (Windows + X and select Device Manager);
    2. Expand "Cameras";
    3. Right-click on the camera device and select "Uninstall device";
    4. Restart the PC.

    Usually, the camera is automatically reinstalled when restarting the PC.

    If the problem persists, let me know.

    Feel free to ask back any questions.

    Thanks for reaching out. However, after trying this solution, the problem still persists.

    EDIT:

    Just solved this problem! I reset my laptop then did the 15-sec Power button reboot and aggressively pressed Fn+F6.
