I am sorry that you have experienced this issue. May I know if this happens after an update or installation? Have you tried to perform the following steps below?
Click Start> Type Apps & features> Find minesweeper and click it> Click the Advanced Options> If there is a repair option, click it. Try to sign in again. If the issue persists, then follow the steps again and choose Reset. Restart the app.
If the steps above do not work, click Start > type Troubleshoot and click it > Find the Troubleshoot Windows Store Apps and click it. See if it fixes any problems for that app or if it shows an error.
Make sure that you are running the latest Windows update.
