What is hiberfil.sys and why is it so large

It's taking up 20 GB and my PC keeps crashing because of the lack of storage.

    I'm Rodrigo and I'll help you.

    It is the hibernation file, where the system data is stored when you set your system to hibernate.

    Disabling hibernation will delete this file.

    If you want to disable hibernation, open the start menu, type CMD and select "Run as administrator"

    On the Command Prompt window, paste this command below and press enter

    powercfg.exe /hibernate off

    The command will disable hibernation.
