I was using my laptop, and one day, the laptop's fan ran very loudly. So I checked the processor thingy and "Antimalware Service Executable" was using so much part of the memory part. I tried to disable it but failed. So I found the blog how to decrease the memory use of this freakin' dumb software. And, same. It didn't decreased. The blog said add exclueded apps and processes on windows defender. And I did it like that. But the result, was this. ALSO, I EVEN added the REGISTRY key (DWORD 32-bit value) for disabling this rubbish stuff. But didn't work. Is there sth going wrong on my PC? I just bought my laptop 1 week ago and didn't touched anything. I downloaded my programs where it can be trusted. I bought office programs, games, and sth like that "LIGALLY" WITHOUT downloading it from crack sites. So, don't say just erase any virus stuff apps becuase i got ALL of my apps from official sites. So, is there any ways? I'M FREAKING ANNOYED BY THIS DUMB APP. Is it just Microsoft wants to burn other's new laptops or memory cards? R they kidding to customers? Can't they make this dumb vaccine app from taking too much memory to somehow better one? Here's the picture how many memories does this app takes.

I have some solutions for you that may help to improve the situation and I ask you to perform this step while ensuring that you are safe:

    1. Change Windows Defender's schedule options to reduce the frequency of scans to alleviate the situation.
    • Windows search for "Task Scheduler" - open it - In the left navigation pane, double-click on "Task Scheduler Library".
    • Continue to expand these folders and navigate to the following destination: Library / Microsoft / Windows / Windows Defender.
    • Double-click Windows Defender Scheduled Scan located in the center pane.
    • Click on the Conditions tab, uncheck all the options and click OK.
    • This will clear your scheduled scan. Double-click Windows Defender Scheduled Scan, select the Triggers tab, and then click New.
    • Create a new scan schedule that suits your needs, choosing options that strike a balance between protection and system efficiency.
    • As a guideline, we recommend scanning (at least) once a week so that you are unlikely to notice an increase in CPU usage.
    • Repeat the process for the remaining three services found in the Library / Microsoft / Windows / Windows Defender folder (Windows Defender Cache Maintenance, Windows Defender Cleanup, Windows Defender Verification).
    1. set Windows defender exclusions:
    • Antimalware Service Executable for windows defender regular process with excessive memory usage may be for being scanned to protect your system. If you can make sure your computer is safe, you can consider this option:
    • Right-click on the Windows icon --- Task Manager --- Search for Antimalware Service Executable --- Right-click on the process --- Select "Open file location".
    • In the address bar you will see the full path to Antimalware Service Executable. Click on the address bar and copy the full path.
    • Search for "Windows Defender" in the Windows Search box---Open---Virus and Threat Protection---Virus and Threat Protection Settings---Scroll down to "Exclusions"---Then click Add or Remove! Exclusions---Click Add Exclusions---Select Folder---Paste the path to Antimalware Service Executable (MsMpEng.exe) in the address bar---Click Open---Virus and Threat Protection---Virus and Threat Protection Settings---Scroll down to Exclusions and click Add or Remove. --Click Open, and the folder will be excluded from the scan.
    1. If the above solution does not help, although I strongly discourage disabling defender, you can try disabling Windows Defender to see if it solves the problem.
