    Hello ,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community!

I understand that you have encountered the problem of Windows 11 battery power dropping too fast, and I understand your confusion.

I noticed that you tested the battery life on Windows 10 and Windows 11 respectively. Did you test on the same computer or on different devices?

The battery consumption of Windows 11 compared to Windows 10 will vary depending on the specific usage. In general, Windows 11 is optimized for battery life, so it may be more power-efficient in some cases, such as:

    • Compared to Windows 10, Windows 11 consumes less energy when the device is idle.
    • Windows 11 has improved backlight control and adjustment features to better manage the brightness and color of the display to save battery life.
    • Windows 11 also introduced a new feature called "sleep," which allows devices to continue to save data even when they are completely turned off, reducing boot time and battery drain. But,

If you are running a higher load or using more resources in Windows 11, its battery drain may be faster.

Therefore, the specific situation needs to be considered according to your use mode and hardware configuration.

Overall, the battery life of Windows 11 performs well, but if you need longer battery life, you can reduce the power consumption of Windows 11 with a few simple Settings and actions. Here are some actions and Settings that can help reduce battery consumption in Windows 11:

    1. Adjust the power plan: Select a power plan suitable for the mobile device, such as "Power saving mode" or "balance mode". These plans automatically optimize system Settings to reduce power consumption.

In the windows search box, enter "Control Panel" -- power options -- and select "Balance" or "Power saving" to complete the adjustment.

    1. Optimize the system sleep and standby Settings: On the system Settings screen, you can set the interval for the device to enter the sleep or standby state. Shortening these intervals saves even more battery power.

These are some common actions and Settings that can help you reduce Windows 11 battery consumption. I hope the above reply can answer your doubts. Thank you for your patience and cooperation, I wish you all the best!
