If you are able to use the broken screen to somewhat see try resetting the system BIOS to defaults or if you are comfortable with the hardware of the device look for CMOS battery, remove and reinsert it (this involves open up the system so if you are not comfortable with the process go for the other steps before taking the device to a service center to get this done)
Resetting the adapter using audio cues :
Boot the computer normally
Turn up your sound if possible
Login, then wait a good while to ensure it's loaded.
Tap Winkey+X, then tap M. That brings up device manager.
Press Tab once, then type "disp" quickly
Tap right arrow twice, then Alt, then A, then E.
If you heard a chime, then you hit a device that wasn't disabled, perhaps you have two GPUs. Press Esc, then down arrow, then Alt, then A, then E to try the next one.
