I have a Gateway All in One PC/Laptop. I'm trying to figure out how to switch to the HDMI screen and I can't seem to figure it out.

Let me help you with this issue.
I understand that you are having problems switching to your Extended monitor via HDMI.
Connect the 2nd monitor using your HDMI cable.
Please tap on the Windows key and the letter P on your keyboard and then choose the options, to Extend, duplicate, or choose 2nd monitor only.
