I can't access my Minecraft Bedrock file.

I just got a new Logitech g502 lightspeed, and I want to assign certain buttons to do things in Minecraft, so I want to add the application Minecraft to my Logitech settings, but I can't access the folder that has Minecraft in it. Whenever I do, I get the message that I do not have permission to access this file, and I should contact the file owner or an administrator to gain access, but I am an admin on this pc, it's mine, and I tried giving myself access to the file, but it says I don't have permission to do that, and I don't know what else to do. Am I trying to access the wrong file? Am I just missing something? I've tried going through task manager to get to the file, but when I go there, I can't click on the file location, I have to go in some other way or something. Java edition doesn't have this issue from what I've seen, its just bedrock. What do I do now?

    Hi Stevenbobeven69,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Folder permission restrictions for UWP-architected apps may be at the core of why you are experiencing this issue.

Most of the apps installed through the Microsoft Store are UWP-architectured, and the apps are located in the system-protected hidden directory described below.

    C:\Program Files\WindowsApps

Many of the permissions restrictions will be relaxed in Safe Mode and the directory will be able to be accessed directly.

Start your PC in safe mode in Windows - Microsoft Support

    • We are not sure if the application you are using will be able to access Minecraft files and configure keystroke macros in Safe Mode.
    • Even if you complete the configuration process in Safe Mode, due to permission restrictions, we cannot ensure that the effect will work in-game.
    • If you wish to perform further testing, it is recommended that you complete the process on a virtual machine or a device other than your current primary device.

Members of the Answers community are not experts in the game.

For other Minecraft-related information, it is more recommended to consult experienced experts in the field of Minecraft (for example. whether there are special means of bypassing this restriction or alternative tools for implementing keystroke macros).

If I misunderstand your situation, feel free to correct me and share the information.

    Best Regards,
