I can't get into google passwords
I Cannot get into google password manager, which keeps telling me that either my Microsoft account name or the password is wrong; despite its what I use to sign into my microsoft account with. They don't say which is wrong, so you have no Idea which one is wrong, or any explanation on how to fix it! And if you try to fix it using suggestions from someone else after you try a couple times you get this message saying you tried to many times with the wrong password, and then you have to wait 24-hours, or they lock your account, and now you have more problems. It's their screw up, and then they won't help you fix it! I did figure a way around it. Just type google password manager in search, and now all you need is your Googles password to get into the password manager. This is my computer, and I didn't ask Microsoft for this added level of security, but Microsoft seems determined to make things harder, and harder to use!

2023-12-11T12:59:32+00:00 I'm having the same problem. Thanks Edward, your work-around seems to work but it seems a frustrating an unnecessary step.
Hahn, I have followed your advice but my Microsoft and Google accounts are already linked. When I try to access my Google password manager it doesn't give the option of using the Microsoft Authenticator app otherwise I would use this. I can login to my laptop with my Microsoft details and other places however as Edwards says the "lock" set in place by Microsoft wont work and my details are incorrect but it won't say which. Very frustrating.

2023-08-11T09:58:48+00:00 Hi Edward,
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
I'm Hahn and I'm here to help you with your concern.
I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble accessing Google Password Manager with your Microsoft account.
It sounds like you have already found a workaround by searching for Google Password Manager and entering your Google password. That's great!
However, if you want to use your Microsoft account to sign in to Google Password Manager, you may need to link your Google account and Microsoft account first.
You can do this by going to [Link your Google account and Microsoft account - Microsoft Support] and adding your Gmail address as a way to prove who you are.
Alternatively, you can also use the Microsoft Authenticator app or the Microsoft Autofill Google Chrome extension to save and manage your passwords across different accounts and devices. These tools can help you create and use strong, unique passwords that are protected by encryption and two-factor authentication. I hope this helps you solve your problem. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask me.
Your Sincerely
