Hi All,

I'm having some issues in performing KFM migration from my OnPremise home drive to OneDrive using the KFM method https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/onedrive/redirect-known-folders#transition-from-the-windows-folder-redirection-group-policy-objects under the If folders have been redirected to a network file share section.

This is the error I got, despite the registry having been successfully set by the Group Policy object: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/onedrive/use-group-policy#silently-move-windows-known-folders-to-onedrive

What should I do to begin the migration in bulk for 1000+ users ?

Thank you in advance.

    Hi @EnterpriseArchitect ,
"Important folders that may be contained within the folder include: Documents, Desktop, Pictures, Screenshots, Camera Roll, or the OneDrive folder." I suggest you try to remove Pictures, Videos, Music, Applications folders from Document folder. And you should also check if there are hidden folders or files in Document.

    Hi there,

The OneDrive Known Folder Move Group Policy objects won't work if you previously used Windows Folder Redirection Group Policy objects to redirect the Documents, Pictures, or Desktop folders to a location other than OneDrive.

You can try removing the problem folders and then try migrating OnPremise Home drive to OneDrive

Important folders aren't in the default locations: The folder with the error contains another important folder and can't be protected until the contained folder is moved. Important folders that may be contained within the folder include Documents, Desktop, Pictures, Screenshots, Camera Roll, or the OneDrive folder. All folders must be on the same volume (e.g. C:\ drive).

    Hi @Emi Zhang-MSFT & @Limitless Technology ,
OK, 1000+ of my existing user home directories are already set up and created using the existing group policy:

Is that the reason why the bulk migration has failed using the KFM tool?
Can you suggest any other tool to migrate without the above limitations?
