Hello, I am Mite, an independent advisor and a user like you, here to offer help.
If you don't want to create a dual boot system, you can try a virtual machine to install Windows 7. If you're using Windows 10 Pro, you can use the virtual machine that comes with it, which is called hyper-v. But you can still use other virtual machines as you want. It makes the installation of Windows 7 on Windows 10 much easier and you can run it like an app.
Thanks, Mite. I guess I'm not sure what the difference is between a dual boot system and a virtual machine. I am using Windows 10 Pro. In a cursory on line review, I see that HyperV may be more difficult than other proprietary programs for those without advanced computer skills. I will have to admit that I am in that zone currently, although in the past I was much more technically savvy and was familiar with partition management etc. I am comfortable with BIOS changes, etc.
I also am wondering if I take the computer to a repair shop and ask them to create a virtual machine or a dual boot and obtain and install Win 7 on that partition, if they would be able to do that. I recognize that would be more expensive. I guess I could call a shop and ask them.
I am happy to learn that if I decide to try HyperV, it's good to know I already have it!
Thanks again.
Jack
