Gpu fans not spinning, display not showing, not being able to power off my computer

I am able to turn my computer on and my leds and fans, except my gpu fans are working, Also when I try and power my computer off it won’t turn off even if I hold it. I know it’s not the gpu because I’ve plugged it into my other pc and it worked. I know it’s not the pci cable either because I needed it connected to my gpu in my other computer to work. The only thing that I think could have caused this problem is when I uninstalled my integrated graphics. If anyone could help me with this issue I would be extremely grateful. Thank you.

    Hi,

I was able to see the light on the CPU. This means the CPU is having issues or the connection to the motherboard.

The common causes of the light over CPU means -

    1. Power supply
    2. CPU overheating
    3. Incorrect CPU installation
    4. Damaged CPU or socket
    5. BIOS
    6. RAM issues
    7. Motherboard issues

As your system worked before so we can rule out the incorrect CPU installation.

You have tested with RAM also so we can rule that out.

Power supply and CPU overheating we can ignore as it worked before and you did not make any changes to the system.

I would recommend you check up with the service center to make sure your motherboard is working fine. MSI service center would be able to check the motherboard for you. If your motherboard comes out fine then you will have to check up the CPU for any damage.

Please let me know how may I help you further.

I don’t know if you are able to see it but it says cpu, dram, vga and boot. The only light that is on is the one above cpu. I don’t see any error display or hear any sound from my motherboard either. I also tried using only 1 ram stick in different slot and it didn’t turn on. I was used different ram sticks I have and they didn’t work either .

    Hi,

The image you provided is from your monitor so you can ignore that message.

If you have an error code display on your motherboard can you please let me know the error code it shows up?

Do you have a speaker attached to your motherboard? All motherboard provide a small speaker to hear error beeps.

Do you have any error lights on the motherboard?

As your GPU is working perfectly on another pc the most likely issue is your motherboard or RAM.

If you have multiple RAM try to use just one in different slots to check if your pc is booting up. Alternate with other RAM. If still same issue you may have to check up your motherboard.

Every time I turn on my pc this message pops up. My keyboard and mouse won’t light up either. I’ve tried changing the slot of which my gpu is connected to but that won’t work either. I’m pretty sure the manufacturer is MSI though.

    Hi ,

Sabya here, Independent Windows Adviser. Hope you are doing well.

Can you please let me know are you able to see the manufacturer logo on the screen?

Also, if you have any other slot for the PCI output, please try that.

The GPU fan may not spin as some GPU are designed to spin only when they reach a specific temperature, it is called zero RPM mode.

As your GPU is working on another pc so we can rule out the GPU being damaged.

So please check with another PCI slot if it is working.
