I have a Lenovo IdeaPad 5 with same Intel AX201 problems others seem to have. This seems to be posted on Intel's forums as well. Overall I have generally always been impressed with Intel's wireless cards. I suspect the issues stem from the aggressive nature of the card for a connection and the fact we have so many wireless standards these days. Few months ago I ran into a Mini PC that had a soldered AX201 and it was giving connection fits as well. Trouble with soldered cards you just cannot swap out for a good one. Heck on my Lenovo IdeaPad Windows 11 could not even detect the WIFI card on a Windows 11 clean install. Had to buy a USB LAN adaptor just to finish setup. Just my two cents worth, have not really found any good solution as yet.
Why does the Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz Wireless Adapter bug still persist?
I have a fairly new Asus TUF Gaming F15 laptop with Windows 11, and my Intel Wifi adapter is suffering from the issue that the adapter simply does not work half of the time. I am using an ethernet cable currently, but unfortunately it is not possible at all times. There are several threads on this website and others about the issue, but still Intel has not fixed it.
The problem is that the wifi adapter simply turns itself off and gives either error code 10 or code 43. Many other people have had this problem. I've uninstalled the driver and reinstalled it several times. Sometimes it fixes the issue for a while, other times it does nothing. I've seen some advice saying that you should go to the device manager and find the Power Management tab of the wifi adapter and uncheck the checkbox: "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power." Alas, I have no such tab.
Another piece of advice I've seen is to go to MiMO Power Save Mode and set it to No SMPS or Static SMPS. For a while it seemed to have helped, but then the problem returned.
Someone has claimed that installing an older version of the driver would fix the problem. However, Windows does not allow me to downgrade the driver with an older update. My current version is 22.240.0.6.
I've also tried resetting my network setting back factory settings. However that has done nothing. Even the driver retains the current update, and does not revert back. Additionally in the properties of the wifi adapter, the "Roll Back Driver" button is greyed out.
Does anyone know how to really fix this, and furthermore, why has Intel and/or Microsoft done nothing to fix this problem that has persisted for years now?

2023-12-22T20:48:41+00:00 I have a HP laptop on AX201 (rev 20) and it was working for 2y without issues. But the chip has been died 1 week ago. I tried to run wifi on Windows 11 and 3 different Linuxes, 2 old ones and on one with the newest kernel & firmware. Everywhere the chip refuses to start it seems it's hardware or firmware failure. Windows reports 43 error code and linux also cannot start the chip. I had to buy usb wifi adapter

2023-08-03T08:33:15+00:00 You update ONLY via the Asus update utility
Win11 by default only autoupdates win critical updates. Do NOT set the option for 'other' or 'optional' updates.
Do NOT update from any other source
Once you have updated via the Asus update utility, set Bios to defaults and Pwr to balanced.
