How Can I Play FIFA 07 On Windows 10 PC?

I just recently purchased a new unopened (sealed) FIFA 07 disc game for nostalgic reasons, to play on my Windows 10 PC with an external USB optical drive. I installed it without a problem, but I can't get it to open (run). Not even reach the main menu of the game. Screen just goes black for a sec like it's about to run it, then suddenly crashes. I tried running it with different compatibility settings too, but no luck.

Now I've read online about the DRM, SecuROM and SafeDisk that disc games have. But the other day, I installed it on my older Windows 10 laptop, and it ran perfectly, without messing around with any compatibility settings, either. So if it's not a Windows 10 issue, what is it then? How could I get my PC to run it? Please help, thanks.

Thanks for the quick reply. I've tried all of the things you listed, but still doesn't work. It's doing the same thing. Just opens into a black screen for a second or two, then closes. Even tried the "Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution" option, but still nothing. I'm still confused as to how it worked on my laptop (without changing anything), but not my PC.

Thank you for contact us! I'm Anderson, an Independent Consultant and a Microsoft user like you.

    Good evening

Try these options: run the game as an administrator, disable fullscreen optimizations, disable compatibility mode, disable DEP (Data Execution Prevention)

Run the game as an administrator: Right-click on the game's shortcut or executable file and select "Run as administrator." This can help with permissions issues that may be causing the game to crash.

Disable fullscreen optimizations: Right-click on the game's shortcut or executable file, select "Properties," go to the "Compatibility" tab, and check the box that says "Disable fullscreen optimizations." Click "Apply" and then try running the game again.

Disable compatibility mode: If you have previously set compatibility mode for the game, try disabling it. Right-click on the game's shortcut or executable file, select "Properties," go to the "Compatibility" tab, and uncheck the box that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for." Click "Apply" and then try running the game again.

Disable DEP (Data Execution Prevention): DEP can sometimes interfere with older games. To disable DEP for the game, follow these steps:

Press Win + X and select "System."

    Click on "Advanced system settings."

Under the "Performance" section, click "Settings."

In the new window, go to the "Data Execution Prevention" tab.

Select the option that says "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select."

Click "Add" and navigate to the game's executable file (.exe) and select it.

Click "Apply" and then try running the game again.
