Camera not detected after start-up. [Update: SOLVED: see the edit in post]

UPDATE: I solved the problem. You have to reset the PC. Settings>System>Recovery>Recovery options>Reset this PC.

I did this and now the camera works. Yes, I had to reinstall some programs but luckily for me, they were easy because they were non-Windows. I also have delayed all updates as much as possible; you can do this in the Settings>Windows Update.

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon. My built-in webcam works for the initial start-up and even detects my face and logs me in. However, right after logging in, my computer is unable to detect the camera and I get the error message:

0xA00F4244<NoCamerasAreAttached>

I have a:

Intel(R) AVStream Camera

Driver Provider: Intel
Driver Date: 2023-07-30
Driver Version: 63.22000.3.12997

I have ensured my drivers are up to date.

I have uninstalled the camera in Device Manager and re-installed it.

I have used Device Manager to update my drivers.

I have ensured my camera is not switched off.

I ensured my Camera has access to all the apps I need in the Settings>Security.

I have ensured I have the most up to date version of Windows 11.

I have ensured my Firewall is not prohibiting the use of my built-in camera.

None of the above have worked. Is there anyone out there who can assist me in getting my laptop to recognize my camera. I know it is possible because after I restart my laptop, it turns on and obviously detects my face to log me in.

Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.

I tried all your links. Nothing worked. I ended up finding a solution. You sound like a bot and your response looks like it was written by AI. No offense to you but it is pretty frustrating when no one takes these concerns seriously.

Thanks Josh, at least I know there's a way out without sending my PC back to Lenovo for assistance.

The crazy thing is that basically we need to reinstall Windows from scratch -- this sends me back to the days of Windows 98, which I thought were long gone.

Happy New Year, by the way!

Experiencing this same exact issue with the same laptop and camera driver.
Tried updating the computer - didn't work
Opened Lenovo Vantage to scan hardware and run updates - didn't work
Went onto Lenovo's official website and scanned for driver updates directly there and found some updates. Applied those updates and that didn't work either.
We also followed all of the recommendations from the lenovo article you sent over and still nothing.
