    I'm so beyond pissed at Microsoft about this, I'm 4 hours away from taking the largest dump on Bill Gates doorstep.

    I tried running the installation assistant twice but it always stucks at 99%

    Is there any other way I can upgrade my laptop to windows 11

    Ramesh's suggestion worked for me. Although there is no option to defer the updates it still processed the upgrade to Windows 11.

    Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    If that process has been stuck there for 4 hours, the update may have already completed that process, press and hold the power button on the case of your PC for 5 - 10 seconds to perform a hard shut down.

    Wait a couple of seconds and start your PC again to see if that has completed or if it rolls back.
