I have this same issue, the strange part is that it DID work at one point last year(in 2022). I was able to play League of Legends just fine on my Surface Pro X.
Then all of a sudden I started to experience a reconnect loop, where you can launch the game, try to enter into any type of game, even training, but it never loads the game, just goes to a reconnect screen.
There are plenty of people out there with this issue and people recommend all sorts of fixes, but none of them have worked. These inlcude setting Compatibility Mode for the EXE for League of Legends, which seems like a good thing to try.
League also has a DX9 mode and low spec mode you can set, neither of which solve the issue. The game has been around for a very long time so you would think its something we could figure out.

The problem is by Riot's side. They've turned x86 compatibility off in their game client so you cannot run it now. Got the same problem but i couldn't even play it earlier because i bought Pro X this year

Reason: Windows 11 changed shutdown function.

Hello ! I'm Aymeric, and I'm here to help !

The Surface Pro X is a ARM device. Classic PC apps on the x86 platform are emulated : they are not run natively.

Is League of Legends an ARM game which has been rewritten for this platform ? If the game developer hasn't adapted the app, emulation is being used.

On graphics-intensive apps like games, you can encounter crashes and instability. Ask the developer if the game is running natively (or not).

Feel free to ask if you have any other question !
