    Hello,

You can download cCleaner (the free version) and use the Registry option to remove all old entries. That fixed the problem for me.

This instruction may or may not apply to your situation.

Use the Control Panel(access through Explorer with "shell:ControlPanelFolder" if you wish).

Right-click the offending program, select uninstall, then if the Uninstaller can't be found you will be given the option to remove the entry. Entry will no longer show in All Apps, or Add or Remove Programs.

Very frustrating that this has to be accomplished using a Legacy tool.

    Hi akhmma,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Uninstalling that application has left behind registry entries that are appearing on the 'Open With' context menu.

You can either search through the registry and carefully remove any entries that reference the uninstalled application, or there is a tiny free utility that does not need to be installed named OpenWithVew by Nirsoft you can use to disable any left over entries on the context menus.
