Disk Management options greyed out after installing hard drive internally

Recently I installed a 6TB hard drive into my computer, after I installed it I went to format it but it didn't show up in file explorer so I went to Disk Management to format but all the options are greyed out. I checked my other drives and this was the only one with greyed out options, what should I do?

Hi, I'm Robinson, and I’m happy to help you today.

You can format the disk using the Command Prompt and the "Diskpart" command. Please check this link to see a tutorial on how to format a disk using Command Prompt.

You need to make sure that you selected the correct disk before running the "Clean" command, this command will remove everything from the drive and cannot be undone.
