In addition, if clicking on "change default location" crashes, you can go to Microsoft Store settings and check what the path setting is here. It shouldn't display as "no folder yet" normally:
I'm not able to install apps/games to my C drive from Microsoft Store, how would I fix this?
I am on Windows 10. The C drive is my only drive, it is already set as the download location for new apps in my settings.
This is what it looks like when I try to install an app.

It is likely that the Microsoft Store or system files are corrupted. Have you tried reinstalling the Microsoft Store?

Regarding the system files, you can create a new Windows account to see if the issue is with the user profile. Then, run the system file checker to scan the system:
