Hi there

I have a AMD Desktop with Windows 11 in it. So couple of days ago My father deleted some of unnecessary software from settings but he accidentally deleted FL Studio 21. Now that I needed that software, I tried to reinstall that software but it was unsuccessful (the installer had given an error but I don't remember it). After that I shut downed my pc and the very next day my pc showed me Blue screen with Stop Code - 0xc000021a

Now I have tried bunch of things from internet like :-

  1. chkdsk /f /r
  2. sfc /scannow
  3. dism/online/cleanup-image/restorehealth (this showed error 87 ig)
  4. dism /image:E:\ /cleanup-image /revertpendingactions (mine windows dir is e:)
  5. Startup settings and select 5th and 7th option
  6. Startup repair
  7. Uninstall any recent quality and quantity update (It was unsccessful)

What should I do now?

Thanks in advance

Because the recovery environment options on the installation media didn't help, your best option is to perform a clean install of Windows using the installation media.

Since a clean install will delete the entire contents of the system drive, it's a good idea to back up any important files stored on the drive to an external storage device.

Since you cannot access the system, here is a procedure that should help you to access the files stored on the computer.

  1. Start your computer using the installation media;
  2. Choose the language, select "Next", and press "Shift + F10" to open the Command Prompt;
  3. In Command Prompt, type the command below and press Enter.

notepad

  1. Notepad will open. Click on "File" and select "Save As";
  2. A window will open that allows you to browse the files on your computer. Through this window, you can make a copy of your files.

Note: There will be other partitions that are usually hidden in Windows. The system partition, which is usually (C:), should be (D:), and your files will be in the "Users<username>" folder.

After backing up your files, do a clean install as instructed under "Use the installation media to perform a clean install" in the article below.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/rei...

In your case, start the computer using the installation media and proceed from step 4.

    I had tried that actually, but my pc is unable to access any restore point. I remember I had created one couple of months ago. (My pc hasn't updated to 23h2 yet, it is still on 22h2)

    I tried what you said and well, it didn't work. In system restore point recovery it showed error 0x80070002

    While every thing else was just same. Nothing really worked. What can I do next?

    Thanks for the clarification.

    If the recovery options are not working, the recovery files might be damaged. Try to repair the Windows startup using the recovery environment from an installation media.

    If you don't have one, create one using the Media Creation Tool. Download the tool from the link below.

    https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2156295

    Run the tool on a working computer and follow the on-screen instructions.

    You can create the installation media on an empty USB flash drive with at least 8GB.

    With the installation media, access the recovery environment as follows:

    1. Start your computer using the installation media;
    2. Choose your language, select "Next", and click "Repair your computer".

    Try the same procedures you tried before, but this time using the recovery environment from the installation media.

    Don't worry. I don't think you will have any problems using installation media with version 23H2 to try to recover your Windows that is on version 22H2.

    Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

    I understand your computer is not starting Windows, and the error "Stop code 0xC000021a" is displayed.

    These procedures you tried were in Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE), correct?

    I noticed you haven't tried the advanced option "System Restore" yet.

    Start your computer again in the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE).

    • On the Choose an option screen, select "Troubleshoot > Advanced options > System Restore" and follow the on-screen instructions.

    Choose a restore point created before the problem started to occur.

    If the problem persists, let me know, and I will provide another method.

    Feel free to ask back any questions.
