Why is my computer crashing

My computer has been broken for 3 months. What happens is my computer crashes and once it crashes it will crash over and over again at startup. If it makes it through startup it will crash 5 minutes later. Sometimes it just stops crashing for a while (unless I run a large game) and one day it will randomly just start crashing over and over again. Sometimes it’ll be so bad that it won’t even make it to startup. There are no patterns it just seemingly crashes whenever. I’ve determined it’s not an issue with my drivers, viruses or thermal paste. I think maybe it’s one of my parts that broken.

Hello, I am Mite, an independent advisor and a user like you, here to offer help.

Did anything show up when your computer crashed? For example, bluescreen. Could you please give me more details allowing me to identify the problem?

    Hi there,

Dealing with persistent computer issues can be frustrating, but let's try to troubleshoot this together. Here's a concise

    - Hardware Diagnosis:

    • According to me it's a good call to suspect a hardware issue.
    • Start by checking the health of your hard drive. A failing drive can lead to unpredictable crashes.
    • Run a diagnostic tool, such as CHKDSK, to scan for and fix potential disk errors.

    - Memory Check:

    • Unstable RAM can cause crashes. Use the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool to check for memory issues.
    • Consider reseating your RAM modules or trying them one at a time if you have multiple sticks.

    - Power Supply:

    • An unstable power supply can also lead to crashes.
    • Check if your power supply unit (PSU) is providing a consistent and adequate power supply to your components.

    - Graphics Card:

    • Issues with the graphics card could cause crashes, especially during heavy tasks like gaming.
    • Ensure your GPU drivers are up to date and consider testing with another graphics card if possible.

    - Motherboard and Connections:

    • Loose connections or a faulty motherboard might be the culprit.
    • Inspect all cable connections, and if you're comfortable, reseat your components on the motherboard.

    - System Logs:

    • Check the Windows Event Viewer for any error messages or warnings around the time of the crashes.
    • This might provide clues about which component is failing.

    - System Restore:

    • If the issues started recently, consider using System Restore to revert your system to a point when it was functioning properly.

    -Professional Help:

    • If all else fails, and you've ruled out software issues, seeking help from a professional technician or your computer manufacturer's support might be the next step.

Remember to back up your important data regularly, and take one step at a time. If you come across any specific error messages or patterns, that information could be valuable in narrowing down the issue. Let me know if you need further assistance!
