Trojan:HTML/Phish!pz
Defender found this trojan on a scan. It says that this threat or app might not be completely remediated. What would be the remedy in this case?

2024-01-22T15:47:21+00:00 It's my understasnding that this is a false positive; in which case, there is no problem with continuing your online use, as normal. The fact that it only ever seems to occur in the backups of the folders, during the backup process, seems to confirm that, to me. I could be wrong, of course!

2024-01-20T16:49:07+00:00 hello Ferds_N
i've had this same issue since Christmas and can't resolve it. i update the virus definitions at least 1x/day, and run complete scans(C drive with Program Files, D drive with data, and external backup drive), both Full and Offline, at least 1x/day, and i still can't get rid of it. my external drive has not done a backup since Christmas because of this. per your 09Jan note, i can easily get to the "Scans" folder but i can't open it. i have Windows 10 and use Chrome.
am i doing something wrong or has Microsoft still not figured a way to kill this thing?
i appreciate any help you can give

2024-01-19T20:17:31+00:00 I've now (I hope) excluded the Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles data folder from the backups. We shall see if that works, next week.
