windows 7 internet explorer is old can't access websites

I have a Gateway mini laptop with Windows 7, IE 9. I switched it on after a few years and Now I cannot access most websites, specifically at the second level.

I have tried most of the applicable fixes from the Net, but nothing worked. It is not even updating the Windows 7 and from IE 9 to IE 11.

Internet connection is fine. I can go as for as Google.com, but nothing further. I have even Reset the IE, but that didn't help either. It keeps telling me IE is old.

Any advice will be very much appreciated

Say, you're having trouble with Internet Explorer 9 on Windows 7.

There is a browser for Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 called "Mypal". It is so older PC's can use the web, such as YouTube and Microsoft.

First, check to see if your version of Windows 7 is 64 bit or 32 bit.

You can check by navigating to Control Panel > System and Security > System. Scroll down to where it says if you have a

64 bit or 32 bit Operating System.

Once you have found out that, go to http://mypal-browser.org/download.html on Internet Explorer 6 and above (you have Internet Explorer 9) and download either the 64 bit or 32 bit versions (whichever one the Control Panel option said you had).

There will be reviews on YouTube. Don't worry about them using Windows XP to download and install Mypal. As I stated earlier, Mypal works on Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. So, it would work on Windows 7, too.

Internet Explorer is vastly outdated and dangerous to use.

Download and install the Extended Support Release (ESR) version of Mozilla Firefox:
    https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-esr

If you're not sure which version of Firefox ESR to download, click the icon on the download page.

You can also use Chrome from Google. All of my Win7 clients do.
