If you have Windows 10 Pro and upgrade to Windows 11 it will be Pro edition by default.
You should see the Windows 11 update in windows update. If not go to Download Windows 11 (microsoft.com) and use the Windows 11 Installation Assistant.

I currently have a retail version of Windows 10 Professional on my PC which meets all the requirements to install Windows 11 Professional. I downloaded the latest Windows 11 upgrade but I have no idea if it is a Windows 11 Home version or a Windows 11 Professional version. I purchased the retail version directly from Microsoft.
Question: When upgrading from Win 10 to Win 11 how can I ensure that the Windows 11 upgrade will actually install Windows 11 Professional?
Thanks for any assistance you can offer.
P.S. I built this PC.
