I have a 1 month old PC purchased from NewEgg:
IPASON - Gaming desktop - AMD Ryzen 5 5600G 6 core 3.9GHz - 16GB DDR4 3200MHz - 1TB M.2 NVMe - 550W PSU - Windows 11 ...
- Colors: Black/White
- Operating System: Windows 11 Home
- CPU Type: Ryzen 5 5000 Series
- CPU Speed: 5600G (3.90GHz)
- GPU/VGA Type: AMD Radeon Vega 7
- Memory Capacity: 16GB DDR4
- SSD: 1 TB
- HDD: No
- Option: NVMe SSD
Everything was working fine with wifi and all system functions. After installing AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition vs 23.11.1, the wifi and ethernet no longer work. Also the system tray in the task bar is gone, but the task bar and icons are still there. I have tried to uninstall the software, but it just say "dectecting your system configuration for driver and software compatibility" and just cycles, but never proceeed.
When I go to Settings > Network and Internet and click "Get Help" it gives me the error: "This file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action. Please install the app or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Apps Settings page".
In the Device Manager The 2 network adapters are as follows and both say the Device Status is "This device is working properly"
- Realtek 8812AU Wireless LAN 802,11ac USB NIC. Driver Version is 1030.38.712.2019
- Realtek PCIe GbE Family Controller. Driver Version is 1168.13.424.2023
I started to do the System > Recovery > "Reset PC" but it says it "Could not find the recovery environment. Insert your Winsdowqs installation or recovery media", which I do not have. No media was provided with the PC.
I had installed Norton Utilities Ultimate on the PC and it was operating properly. When I try to open it now I just get an error message that it couldn't start and to restart my computer (which did not resolve the issue).
Appreciate help as I am completely stuck. Thanks!
