its been working up until yesterday when i restarted my laptop. ive tried turning the backlight on and off again multiple times in the lenovo vantage toolbar, ive tried restarting my laptop, ive tried using both the ( Fn + Z ) and ( Fn + F ) keys and it still wont turn on. ive tried to adjust the brightness, ive tried using the command prompt, the troubleshoot settings (which didnt even have a keyboard option,) and the device manager but nothing has fixed it. i also dont have a key on the keyboard to turn on the backlight, i have to use lenovo vantage toolbar.

    Hello, this is Emily.

Keyboard backlight is actually not a Windows feature but a firmware feature. It is not one related to driver either, so reinstalling driver is not going to help either.

I will suggest that you reinstalled Vantage app and see if that helps. If not, see if you can find the feature in BIOS and make sure it is not disabled. If it is still not working, it is best you contact Lenovo as it can be a hardware issue hhere.
