Epson Connect Software

I have an Epson ET-4750 and it was previously hooked up to an Acer laptop with Windows 10 which could not be upgraded to Windows 11. The Epson Connect software worked perfectly fine. Now, I have a new computer with Windows 11 Pro. The printer installation was seamless and all features (print USB, print network, & fax) work great. I have now installed the Epson Connect software but it does not detect the printer. The application is allowed in Windows Defender.

    Hello Tom, this is Emily.

Did you also install the Epson driver for this model. If not, go to Epson's official website for this model: https://epson.com/Support/Printers/All-In-Ones/...

Please download and install Drivers and Utilities Combo Package Installer . That should hopefully help Windows recognize the printer.

I wonder if it is an incompatibility issue. The combo driver is from 2019, before Windows 11's time.

If you go back to Epson's official page for this model: https://epson.com/Support/Printers/All-In-Ones/...

Expand the driver section, there's a printer driver from 2023. Printer Driver v2.69 Give that one a try. See if it helps.

Yes, can print from Windows 10 over network.

The Windows 11 computer was only connected via USB initially, I added the printer as a network computer and made it the default then I disconnected the USB cable. No luck that way. It's too bad the set-up software doesn't let you directly enter the printer address if it can't find it.

Also, Windows Defender is set up to allow the set-up program as a pass-thru.

Can you still print from the Windows 10 device? Just want to make sure that the printer is connected with the same network.

If it still won't detect, you might need to connect the printer to the computer using the USB wire it comes with in order to set it up, then it can go wireless after that. A lot of printers, especially the somewhat older models require wire connection during set up.

Yes. The last thing that occurred after installing the all-in-one package was it performed a software update check, of which Epson Connect was a post-install add-on
