JBL TUNE 520 BT handsfree output stopped working

Hello, I have difficulties using JBL TUNE 520 BT headset on Windows 10. Since about three weeks ago, I could not make phone calls with it anymore. It worked before. In Manage sound devices window, the Headphones devices works fine, listening to the music is fine. Microphone works okay. The device Hands-Free AG Audio seems to be failing. Unfortunately none of the devices selected in the Devices window in Teams does not play any sound during calls. I tried disabling each of the output devices without success. I tried the headset on different Windows 10 computer or an iPhone and it works flawlessly. I tried unpairing and pairing back, updating the headset firmware and resetting the factory settings of headphones without success.

    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

It seems like you've taken several troubleshooting steps, but the issue with the Hands-Free AG Audio on your JBL TUNE 520 BT headset persists. Here are a few additional suggestions to help you resolve the problem:

    1. Check Default Communication Device:
      • Right-click on the volume icon in the taskbar and select "Open Sound settings."
      • Under the "Output" section, ensure that your JBL TUNE 520 BT is set as the default communication device.
    2. Update Audio Drivers:
      • Ensure that your computer's audio drivers are up to date. You can do this through the Device Manager. Right-click on the Start button, select "Device Manager," find the audio devices, right-click, and choose "Update driver."
    3. Bluetooth Drivers:
      • Update your computer's Bluetooth drivers. Go to the Device Manager, find the Bluetooth section, right-click, and select "Update driver."
    4. Reconnect the Headset:
      • Delete the pairing of your JBL TUNE 520 BT from your computer and then reconnect it. Sometimes, re-establishing the connection can resolve communication issues.
    5. Windows Troubleshooter:
      • Run the built-in Windows Troubleshooter for audio problems. Right-click on the volume icon, select "Troubleshoot sound problems," and follow the prompts.
    6. Check Teams Settings:
      • In Microsoft Teams, go to "Settings" > "Devices" and make sure the correct audio devices are selected for both speaker and microphone.
    7. Contact JBL Support:
      • Reach out to JBL customer support for assistance. They may have specific insights or solutions for your headset model and its compatibility with Windows 10.

    Best regards

It was the point number 3 that got it working. Thanks.
