HP ElitePad 1000 G2 not working After recent windows update.

The touch screen, audio, battery drivers are gone to name a few. I was able to connect external keyboard and mouse to login and roam around. The system became a generic PC with Microsoft drivers and I'm unable to revert to previous state!

Is there any way to restore the tablet to working order?

Can't do that either. There's a note about more than 10 days etc. It seems that the update was applied in a few iterations and the last iteration had about 7 or so entries I ✔️ and installed.. on restart the touch, audio, battery... etc were gone.

By now, even clear all reset OS fails.

The only way I can see is a usb drive with win10 pro image from HP.

Yet, this tablet is way out of warranty and support (2015). Oh, well 🙄 it worked fine for so long.

That didn't work for me. There's no restore point configured. It's just a tablet with limited 64GB SSD.

    Thanks, though.

    Best regards.

    Sorry to know that:)

In this case, you can uninstall the recent Windows update

Select the Start button, then select Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > View update history > Uninstall updates.

Hello there, I'm Gopal an Independent Advisor. I will try my best to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing an issue with the recent update of Windows losing drivers and functionality like touchscreen, audio, and battery is unsettling. In this case, I would recommend you use the system restore option to fix this issue.

If you remember the precise date before the update, you can attempt a system restore point. This reverts your system files and settings to a previous state, potentially resolving the driver issue.

Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialogue box.

    Type "rstrui" and press Enter.

Follow the on-screen instructions to choose a restore point before the update.

    Regards,

    Gopal
